Grand Rapids’ nonprofit, In The Image, is preparing to help get West Michigan kids ready for the new school year with their 27th annual Shoes Help Our Elementary Students (S.H.O.E.S.) giveaway.
This year the nonprofit organization is hoping to help 4,000 Kent County Elementary students with their annual giveaway happening August 9th at their free store which is located at 4255 Kalamazoo Ave SE in Grand Rapids.
There are a few qualifications according to their website to be able to get free shoes,

Eligibility:
1. Student must be registered for the 2023-2024 school year going into pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
2. Student and parent or guardian must be present to receive shoes.
3. You must sign up EACH child for a time slot – if you have multiple eligible children, please use a different sign-up form for each
